This mirrors how StreamX schedules downloads: a fixed pool of concurrent chunks, chunk size shrinking as the network gets worse, and stalled chunks retried instead of failing the whole transfer.

I'm Sandesh Upadhayay, a final-year Computer Engineering student at Kathmandu University. I'm interested in software engineering, backend systems, and AI/ML, with a focus on building things that work beyond the prototype.
Most of what I know has come from building real systems rather than isolated exercises. I work across the stack with Django REST Framework and FastAPI on the backend, Next.js and React on the frontend, and PostgreSQL or MongoDB for data. More recently, I've been bringing machine learning into that stack through computer vision with YOLOv8 and multi-agent systems for medical decision support.
I build projects primarily to learn by solving real problems. From a bookstore with real payment integration and a marketplace for Nepali handicrafts to a download manager that adapts to changing network conditions, I enjoy taking an idea from the interface all the way down to the underlying systems.
I'm fluent in Nepali and English, and comfortable moving across a codebase—from admin panels and APIs to databases, background services, and ML inference.
